In early August, we were in full swing in the vineyards. The year was very interesting both qualitatively and quantitatively, and the ripeness and terroir of the vineyards characterized the wines we obtained.\u003cbr\u003eAs the fermentation of the Galego Dourado and Sercial began in French oak barrels, which have also been used since 2012 for the fermentation and aging of red wine as well as some white musts, we noticed that this harvest was full of freshness, character and complexity. In our minds, a possible new wine began to \"ferment\", unlike anything we had in our portfolio, but with the personality and backbone of Portocarro, which were well pronounced.
