As it is much easier to digest, it is an excellent alternative to many Sauternes.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis wine was the result of a spontaneous decision: early on the morning of November 14, 2011, the harvest on the south slope of the Duclos plot was well underway but not yet complete. The Petit Manseng grapes hung golden and shrivelled on the vines. As the weather forecast for the coming days looked very poor, it was immediately decided that these grapes would be harvested that very afternoon! The grapes were therefore harvested in a state similar to that of a Beerenauslese.
