Scott and Marta make wines there from Portuguese grape varieties; this one is made from 100% Touriga Nacional, the country's best-known red grape variety. There are a total of 1,260 bottles from the 2023 vintage.

Touriga Nacional is known for its aromas of violets and dark berries. The 15 months in used barrels give the wine structure and a velvety texture without overpowering the fruit, as used wood imparts very little of its own aroma.

The grapes are harvested by hand, and only the best make it to the winery. There, they are fully destemmed and spontaneously fermented with the grapes' own yeasts, while the cap is gently pressed down by hand. The wine then matures for 15 months in used French oak barrels and is bottled completely natural, unfiltered, and unstabilized.

Pairs with grilled lamb, game, or aged hard cheese.
