Autumn is here, and our dear Theresa has also just returned from Piedmont, where she visited the local cheese fair in the small town of Bra. Accordingly, this Friday we are starting our autumn tastings with the "Souvenirs from Piedmont": In addition to cheeses from Italy, England, and France, you will have the opportunity on this day to once again taste the freshly roasted hazelnuts from Azienda Papa dei Boschi, which grow on the surrounding hills. You will be surprised how well they pair with cheese!

Our autumn events program is ready, and we have selected four wonderful themed occasions for which we would like to cordially invite you to join us at Emser Straße 42. We’ll kick things off on Friday, September 25, with “Treats from Piedmont”:In September, one of the finest international cheese fairs takes place in the small town of Bra. In addition to cheeses from Italy, England, and France, we will also offer freshly roasted hazelnuts from the surrounding hills, produced by Azienda Papa dei Boschi. Come by—we look forward to seeing you!

All experts agree: good wines from Portugal have long been among the world's finest. This is partly due to the fact that Portugal is home to around 200 indigenous (if not more!) grape varieties – a huge stroke of luck! A lot is happening, especially in the Douro Valley! Nowadays, people are talking about a veritable "revolution in the Douro", because unlike just a short while ago, when only grapes for the production of Port wines were grown there, the new winemakers are now focusing on improving the quality of their own local wines. One of them is Rita Marques Ferreira from the Conceito winery. Her fine and elegant wines, with plenty of freshness and minerality, have recently enriched our wine selection.

This Friday, 7. August the new garlic harvest is traditionally celebrated in the South of France in Lautrec. A wonderful occasion for us to do the same in Wilmersdorf: to complement the fresh, spicy bulbs, we will be serving our favorite rosé wines. And anyone who dresses according to the theme will be rewarded with a little surprise...

For the French National Day, we have come up with something special: To a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, we serve Crottins de Chavignol at different stages of ripeness. This way you can see how this popular little goat cheese got its name ... If you have become curious, come visit us!

Mackerel is still underestimated. We think that needs to change! That is why on Friday, July 10, we are offering you the opportunity to sample the fabulous world of mackerel. Come visit us between 5 and 7 p.m.; no registration is required! We look forward to seeing you there!

After a visit to our "fish department", it must be clear to everyone: we have a passion for sardines! Some may even call it a little obsession, but the adoration of this fish takes on completely different proportions in other countries! For example, in Lisbon: there, the Festa de Santo António is celebrated every year on June 12th. This is a holiday in honor of Saint Anthony, the patron saint of Lisbon, during which the whole city is on its feet and sardines are grilled and eaten around the clock in the brightly decorated streets. A true paradise for us … and it goes without saying that we absolutely wanted to be there this year!

We are kicking off our summer tastings with a typical "petit déjeuner à la française"! In cooperation with our neighbors from the wonderful Pâtisserie Zuka, there will be delicious brioche from pastry chef Gil Avnon, French raw milk butter from Poitou-Charentes, fruity preserves, and Fromage Blanc from Bresse imported especially for the occasion.
