41 grams of mountaineering in your pocket: The néo7 Alpine in glacier blue is Opinel's answer to the question of what a pocket knife must be able to do when your hands are cold and only one is free.
Designed for climbing, ski touring, mountaineering, and ice climbing — but just as useful for anyone who simply wants a reliable, lightweight tool on the go.
The 8 cm blade is made of serrated stainless steel — cleanly cutting through ropes, cords, and even hard bread or hard salami. The hole in the blade allows for one-handed opening while wearing gloves and saves weight at the same time. The blade spine protrudes slightly when closed and serves as a small scraper.
The handle made of glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene with a cork insert fits securely in the hand even when wet or with damp fingers. A whistle is located at the end of the handle, and a screwdriver bit is housed under the blade, which appears as soon as the blade is closed.
The heart of the knife is the new OPIFLEX® mechanism (patented): The blade opens and closes without locking, in a single fluid motion — intuitive, fast, and one-handed. The OPIFLEX® ferrule also features a lanyard hole.
Made in France, with a lifetime warranty.
