The Domaine Roche extends over 20 hectares of land planted with vines averaging 50 years old, whose roots reach very deep, thus absorbing the best from the soil and expressing it in the wine.

The vineyards are located in the south of the Rhône Valley in Cairanne on a loamy and limestone terroir. The wine grows partly on the plateau of the "Garrigues", whose soils consist of red loamy gravels, which are excellent for growing Grenache and old Carignan, and partly on the "La Montagne" terroir, a hilly landscape with white limestone and loamy soils and a south-facing orientation, which is ideal for growing Syrah. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand and the selection takes place already at the vine, so that only truly perfect grapes are used for winemaking and have as little contact as possible with damaged grapes.

Each parcel is vinified separately: the Grenache in temperature-controlled concrete tanks, Syrah and Carignan in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.


The fermentation lasts between 20 and 25 days and takes place at temperatures between 24 and 26 °C. 
The subsequent aging lasts for a period of 6 to 8 months: the Grenache in the concrete tank, Syrah and Carignan in the stainless steel tank.
