This strictly limited edition brings a historic family recipe from the Pinhais manufactory back to life – an exclusive experience for true connoisseurs, with only 1,000 cans produced worldwide.
Craftsmanship & enjoyment: "Caldeirada" is the classic, hearty fish stew of the Portuguese fishermen. To bring this tradition into the can, NURI selects only the very best, fattiest mackerel of the season.
The preparation is extremely elaborate and is done 100% by hand: The delicate fillets are lovingly layered with fresh tomatoes, onions, fine parsley and a touch of chili and slowly simmered.
This creates the unmistakable intensity and aromatic depth for which NURI is world-famous. The robust, juicy flesh of the mackerel blends perfectly with the creamy, finely spiced caldeirada sauce, which gets a very slight, pleasant kick at the end thanks to the chili.
Tip from the manufactory: Enjoy this rarity lukewarm on a slice of crispy sourdough bread. For a refined dish, NURI recommends serving the mackerel fillets with the sauce on a bed of fresh avocado-coriander cream.
