The spicy cult classic with an extra dose of garlic. The Spiced Sardines with Garlic are a sought-after special edition from the world-famous NURI brand (Conservas Pinhais). Here, the legendary, slightly piquant sardine meets the hearty, intense aroma of real garlic.
Craftsmanship & enjoyment: Like all NURI products, this special edition is also 100% handmade in the historic factory in Matosinhos. Only fresh, in-season, and particularly fleshy sardines are used. The secret of this can lies in the carefully selected ingredients: The fish are gently placed in the can together with fiery chili and a generous amount (5%) of garlic and topped up with excellent olive oil.
This combination creates a wonderfully hearty, warming, and piquant depth of flavor. The delicate fish flesh perfectly absorbs the strong aromas of garlic and chili during maturation in the can. By the way: The longer you let this can rest in your pantry, the more intense and harmonious the taste experience will be!
Tip for connoisseurs: It is best to simply serve these sardines plain on a thick, lightly toasted slice of rustic bread. The spicy garlic-chili oil is far too good to pour away – be sure to dip into it until the very last drop!
