This wine is made 100% from the traditional Fernão Pires grape variety and masterfully brings the unadulterated character of the terroir to the glass. Exactly 1,684 bottles were bottled from this special vintage – a handcrafted rarity.

Natural fermentation and the perfect interplay of wood and steel

The journey of this wine begins with a strictly selective hand-harvest, where only the best grapes are selected directly in the vineyard. In the cellar, this philosophy of minimal intervention continues: fermentation takes place completely naturally and spontaneously with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

For its balanced, harmonious structure, the Fernão Pires 2023 is then aged for 8 months in two different vessels: 36% rests in French oak barrels, which give it a delicate complexity and elegance, while the remaining 64% remains in stainless steel tanks to preserve the lively freshness and the clear fruit of the grape variety.

Pure and unadulterated

As is typical for the philosophy of Vinhos Desviso, this wine is bottled completely unfined, unfiltered, and without artificial stabilization. The result is a lively, honest wine full of character.

Note: Due to the absence of fining and filtration, a slight natural sediment may form in the bottle over time – this is a testament to the highest, minimally invasive quality.
