The grapes for this wine come from the upper Douro region and were sourced from Rabigato, Viosinho, Gouveio and a small proportion of older vines.

Winemaking: After being hand-picked and transported to the winery in small crates (18kg-20kg), the grapes were destemmed, pressed and aged on the fine lees in small stainless steel tanks for about 8 months. Vinified in open tanks.

Tasting note: This wine has a light aroma of white fruit. It is medium-bodied, fresh on the palate, but with a floral note. Long finish.

Márcio Lopes intervenes as a winemaker really only as much as absolutely necessary and trusts natural winemaking processes as much as possible. For example, he ferments his wines exclusively with natural yeasts and – like many of the producers we work with – he also firmly believes that if the quality of the grapes is right, he can produce excellent and harmonious quality wines that reflect the character of their terroir. And he seems to be doing quite well with that: Márcio Lopes' wines are unmistakably fresh and lively and are invariably characterized by bright and clear typical varietal aromas. They are present and pure, with crisp acidity and balanced texture.

This makes the wine the ideal companion for seafood and dishes with creamy sauce.
