The "Les Fosses d'Hareng" lieu-dit is a six-hectare terroir of particular importance with high aromatic potential.
It offers a balanced wine with aromatic power and richness, thanks to the flint-marked terroir.
This off-dry wine presents a straw-yellow color. Its intense and complex bouquet combines linden blossoms, citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon) and ripe fruits (pineapple).
On the palate, it unfolds vividly and shows a full and rich texture with candied fruit notes. The slightly acidic finish enhances the refreshing impression.
It is an excellent accompaniment to aperitifs, regional charcuterie, roasted poultry or poultry in sauces such as duck with peaches and goat cheese.
A lieu-dit is a group of unique vineyard plots that produce exceptional wines due to their geographical and historical unity. The best wines are created here through the respectful treatment of the terroir and the know-how of the winemakers.
The "Les Fosses d'Hareng" site belongs to Vouvray, a municipality on the Loire that is characteristic of the landscapes of the Loire Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The plots are located in a valley hollow and are oriented east-west.
At the edge of the valleys, the climate is temperate and the soils warm up quickly under the oceanic influence that reaches into the heart of the vineyard.
This combination gives the wine fruitiness and full-bodiedness.
