Summer long drinks with port wine, gin and other herbal liqueurs

Sommer-Longdrinks mit Portwein, Gin und anderen Kräuter-Elixieren - Maître Philippe & Filles

It's summer and we are enjoying the many long, balmy evenings, when we celebrate the otherwise un-German aperitif culture and invite the southern joie de vivre to us. With Mediterranean finger food, we like to have a sparkling drop in the glass.

Rosé, Aperol Spritz and also a white wine spritzer are always good. But sometimes you can go for something with a higher alcohol content. For example, with some creative variations of the Gin and Tonic: Have you heard of the Portonic? This is a variation of the classic, in which the gin is replaced by white port wine. It tastes excitingly different and is an absolute bestseller in Portugal.

Or how about a Gin-Seng Tonic? Here, Dr. Jaglas Gin-Seng is added to the glass as the spirit, so gin with the power of the ginseng root.

For both drinks you basically only need 2 ingredients each and some garnish, depending on your taste. Classically, lemon, lime and cucumber fit, but you can also experiment with frozen blueberries and raspberries.

The good mood will follow naturally!

And that was just the beginning! You can also create interesting long drinks and cocktails with Dr. Jaglas Artichoke Elixir and Dr. Jaglas Golfer's Ginseng Elixir. Here are a few ideas:

Here are our favorites, partly in a slightly modified version:

And we also found another recipe for white port wine: the CaipiPorto!
