Ruby Port Reserve is a special variety of Port wine that impresses with its fruity and full-bodied nature as well as its beautiful ruby-red color.
The designation "Reserve" indicates that this Port wine has aged slightly longer than conventional Ruby Port, namely for 3 years.
During this time, the wine has the opportunity to develop its aromas and characteristics in oak barrels, which leads to a balanced and harmonious flavor profile.
Through the three-year aging, this Ruby Port Reserve has developed a rich and intense flavor profile, which is characterized by aromas of ripe red berries such as cherries and raspberries as well as darker fruits such as plums and damsons. The finish is long and lingering, with subtle spice and wood notes from the oak barrels.
Serve it at a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and enjoy it as an aperitif or as a sweet conclusion to a meal. It also pairs excellently with desserts such as chocolate cake, mature cheese, or nutty desserts.
