TRAOU MAD® is a cookie factory in Pont-Aven with over 100 years of history, whose name translates from Breton as "Good Things". It was founded in 1920 by Alexis Le Villain, a baker from Pont-Aven. Today, its Palets and Galettes de Pont-Aven® have become a symbol of Brittany, and its 100-year-old unchanged recipe remains a closely guarded secret. The cookie factory uses high-quality local ingredients, including fresh Breton butter, free-range eggs from Finistère, and flour from the Le Dérout mill in Pont-Aven.

Over the decades, Traou MAD® has evolved:

- 1920: Traou Mad®, "Good Things" in Breton, was created by Alexis Le Vilain, a baker from Pont-Aven.
- 1950: Marguerite, his daughter, turned the success of the Palet de Pont-Aven® into a local business. Some production steps were automated, but the preparation of the ingredients and the recipe remained artisanal.
- 1980: Art and cookies came together when the small town of Pont-Aven became known as the "Town of Painters". Works by Paul Gauguin adorned the cookie tins, and a logo linked Traou Mad® with the famous Ronde Bretonne.

Today, Traou MAD® stands for unique treasures from Brittany that have been handmade for a century using simple regional ingredients, including free-range eggs from Finistère, fresh Breton butter, and flour from Brittany.
