The knife features an 8.5 cm stainless steel blade and a handle made from PEFC-certified hornbeam, decorated using a special sublimation printing technique.

In collaboration with French artist Dalkhafine, a tribute to the silent connection between us and the stars has been created.

N°08 Cosmos Dalkhafine depicts the encounter between earthly power and cosmic energy: the tiger, powerful and majestic, bows before the mermaid, whose head shines like a sun. The sun embodies the sovereign celestial body that watches over the universe – just as the mermaid watches over the moon.

Dalkhafine is a French artist with a versatile body of work – from illustration, motion design, and screen printing to painting and fashion. Her colorful visual world is strongly inspired by nature.

The blade is made of martensitic stainless steel and is reliably secured in both the open and closed positions by the rotatable Virobloc safety ring.

The Virobloc safety ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. It is found on all folding knives from model N°06 onwards. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe use), it is now also possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safe transport).
