Pastis Casanis was created in 1925 by the Corsican Emmanuel Casabianca in Bastia and later moved to Marseille. The dual origin of Casanis is reflected in the two shields on the label, as well as in the special production process that gives it its unique, light, and floral taste.
Pastis Casanis originated in Corsica and is characterized by its straw-yellow color, its light, floral aroma, and its fresh green anise taste.
Its finesse results from the distillation of green anise and star anise, the slow infusion of licorice, and the enrichment with numerous carefully selected spices and aromatic plants.
While connoisseurs enjoy it almost neat, Casanis is usually diluted with 5 to 7 parts water.
It pairs perfectly with Mediterranean specialties: eggplant caviar, tapenade, or tapas... and is a perfect companion for all your evening aperitifs.
