The very old Marc de Bourgogne Briottet is produced by distilling Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape must from the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. It achieves its outstanding quality through aging for more than 10 years in used oak barrels (barriques). The result is a fine complexity combined with elegant strength – the perfect digestif!
Maison Briottet in Dijon was founded in 1836 and remains family-owned to this day. Initially, it dealt only in wines, most of which came from Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin.
In 1900, a distillery was acquired, and the production of Crème de Cassis began, especially due to the growing demand for Kir.
Thanks to centuries-old expertise, Briottet manages to hold its own against the competition. Even today, the Briottet name stands for spirits and liqueurs of the highest quality.
